Nickajack Radio Network brings you the unique and local sound that Sequatchie Valley sports fans have come to know and love over the years. What is a sports broadcast without a legendary sports broadcaster and announcer, right? We believe in keeping with tradition and bringing you the broadcast story of each game -- as it happens -- with the hosts, announcers, and personalities you have come to know throughout the years. Our unique ability to keep a tradition alive makes for the best play-by-play sound and experience for every team and listener.

Doug Ramsey

Doug Ramsey joined Dave Daffron as part of the Marion County Broadcast Team several years back and has stepped-in to lead the broadcast team as the "Voice of the Warriors" for the 2020 season!  Joining him in the broadcast booth is his son, Heath, a MCHS alum, who will bring you the color commentary for the broadcasts. Doug, pastors a local church in Marion County and is very involved in his congregation and community. Aside from football, Doug loves music and spending time with his family. Join him on Friday nights during the season!

Heath Ramsey

The Nickajack Radio Network welcomes Heath Ramsey to the Marion County Broadcast Team in 2020. Heath is a grad of MCHS and now joins his dad, Doug, as his color commentary for the Warriors Radio Broadcasts.  Heath lives in Jasper and is an avid fisherman on Nickajack Lake and other local waters. Tune in for he and his dad's play-by-play call of the game on Friday Nights as Warriors Radio takes to the airwaves on the Nickajack Radio Network and 104.9 The River WEPG!

Dave Daffron

Dave Daffron, the "Voice of the Warriors, Emeritus" has been a familiar voice on local radio airwaves during football season for over 30 years. As best we can find and research -- Dave is the longest-continuous-running high school sportscaster in Tennessee as of his final regular season in 2019. For over 3 decades, he brought Friday nights to life from Bill Baxter Stadium and though he's hung up his headset -- he remains a diehard fan! Dave is also retired from the Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative and is enjoying his retirement with his beloved wife, Jackie, and his family at their home in Jasper.

Shawn Dunwoody

Shawn Dunwoody is a longtime Pirates fan and has been the announcer for Pirates Football for over 20 years. Dunwoody, a resident and grad of SPHS, will bring you the live play-by-play action from Beene Stadium and road games live over the airwaves of WEPG at 104.9 FM and online, too. Join him Friday nights for the action!

Heath Thacker

Heath Thacker began his career as the Voice of the Tigers alongside Chris Goforth in the 2016 season, going solo in the 2019 season and bringing you all of the action each Friday night during football season! Heath is a teacher at Whitwell High School and also serves as one of the Lady Tigers Softball coaches in the spring season. Heath, a native of Marion County, now lives in the Whitwell area with his family. Listen for his play-by-play action from Earl Condra Stadium and Vernon Holtcamp Field and from on the road each Friday night during the season for WHS Tigers Football action!

Logan Carmichael -- Warriors Radio

A native of Whitwell, Logan Carmichael has been up-and-down the radio dial in the Chattanooga area for over 25 years now. He started his full-time radio career at WEPG at the age of 13 as the producer of Pirates Football opposite Chris Goforth and as the Saturday tape-delay producer of Warriors Football with Dave Daffron. Logan later managed WTNW-AM in Jasper where he put the Warriors on air and on a web stream for the first time ever back in 2012. Since then he's formed Nickajack Radio Network and his group specializes in local sports broadcasting and logistics. He's at the helm as Co-Senior Producer and Chief Engineer for all broadcasts this season and is the local producer opposite the Marion County Broadcast Team for Warriors Radio! Logan and his family live in Haletown.

Tommy Strong -- Tigers Radio

Tommy was born in Nashville and lived in the Chattanooga area most of his life. His "home schools" include Ooltewah and East Ridge, where he rooted on the Owls and Pioneers, respectively, when he wasn't too busy supporting his true sports loves -- The Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Titans! He's also a fan of the Preds and WWE. Tommy has been the producer of WHS Tigers Radio since it's second season on the air back in 2018 and now serves as Associate Producer on the network.  "Hashtag #TommyStrong" (the nickname given to him that first season by former announcer Chris Goforth) makes sure to keep your Tigers Radio on the air on Friday nights and keep the info on scores around the region updated with Heath Thacker for the Sequatchie Valley Scoreboard. Tommy lives with his family in Haletown.

Travis Hickman -- Pirate Radio

Travis is a native Marion Countian and graduate of MCHS... He's been involved in broadcasting in the community for over 30 years, and has been with WEPG since wayyy back in the 1980s. Travis became the owner of WEPG and WSDQ in recent years and has made it his mission to serve the communities in Marion and Sequatchie Counties by bringing them a great radio station with local programming, information, news, sports, and community involvement. Travis is a fan of all of the local sports teams and the Tennessee Vols. He's a bigger fan, however, of the Atlanta Braves. He's the local producer of Pirates Football opposite Shawn Dunwoody, and is Co-Senior Producer of all broadcasts.

Stephen Anunziato -- Indians Radio

Stephen has been with WEPG and WSDQ for the past several years and aside from producing Swap & Shop weekdays, he's the producer for Sequatchie County Indians Football each week on WSDQ and the network.  He makes sure all things Indians Football is in place each Friday night so the Sequatchie-faithful can enjoy all of the live action on the airwaves and online. Stephen is a MCHS alumni and lives in Marion County.
